OUR PURPOSE / OUT OF OFFICE DIARIES

India is closer
when you know it.

We help turn curiosity about India into journeys people can plan for themselves.

THE IDEA BEHIND THE JOURNEY

Inspired by a call
to explore our country.

Dekho Apna Desh encourages citizens to travel within India. The Ministry of Tourism records that objective in its 18 December 2023 PIB release.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also encouraged domestic travel in his 15 August 2019 Independence Day address. His appeal then referred to visiting 15 destinations before 2022. We take inspiration from the spirit of exploring India; our travel list is a personal tool with no government target or deadline.

Our contribution is practical: help a reader understand a place, choose a route, work through costs and travel with respect for the people who live there.

OOO Diaries is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, funded by or endorsed by the Government of India, the Ministry of Tourism, Incredible India or the Prime Minister’s Office.

GO DEEPER / OFFICIAL RESOURCES

Keep good sources close.

A useful guide earns its trust.

Budgets are planning examples, not current booking quotes. Suggested seasons are not weather forecasts. Check the references and preparation notes inside each destination guide before booking.

The destination guides and travel school are free to read. Personalised itinerary services elsewhere on OOO Diaries are optional paid services with their own scope and terms.

We do not currently publish verified traveller, completed-trip or local-income impact totals. Personal travel lists are self-reported and stored on the reader’s device.
